Dear Members of the OMICS Scientific Community,
Global COVID-19 Outbreak as an unprecedented disaster to humankind has lasted for two years with total death toward 6 million world citizens. However, mankind will never concede to this fetal virus even with annoying ceaselessly variants. We believe world will eventually conquer the notorious new coronavirus, make the widespread winding down by end of 2022. Bio-world will doom to ricorso and quickly revive the international travel, and accelerate the pace for reuniting bio-professionals for face-to-face communication in-depth. The dark winter is coming, a wakening spring is not that far.
2023 is an especially meaningful historical year, which is the 70th anniversary of discovering DNA double helix and 20th Anniversary of completion of Human Genome Project in 2003 by joint efforts from six countries. To fill out the gap of post-pandemic onsite meeting of OMICS fields, we would like to invite you to attend the splendid initiative, World OMICS Week (WOW 2023) with a theme of “From Big Science, Big Tech, Genedustry to Bioeconomy”, which will take place at Sapporo International Conference Center, at the gorgeous city Sapporo during the thrilling snow season in northern Japan during February 7-9, 2023.
As every colleague can witness，the explosive growth of bioscience and bio-industry during COVID-19 pandemic is owed to the roles of multi-omics technological development. From fast SARS-CoV-2 diagnosis, mRNA vaccines, targeted anti-coronavirus therapy to clinical management of severe infected patients, OMICS technologies have almost penetrated into every corner in understanding, preventing, controlling and saving life in hospitals during this centennial pandemic. In past decade, OMICS science and technology have emerging as remarkable rising stars to enlighten biotech professionals benefited from huge tech pools in understanding OMICS structure, OMICS biology, mechanism of diseases, science of medicine/drugs and healthcare improvement.
WOW 2023 will have, with your assistance, an astonishing program of pre-conference, trainee workshops, plenary lectures, forums, workshops, poster presentations, industrial lectures and social events and exhibitions. Our scientific program will cover a wide range of topics in pan-omics, which will also offers a holistic view of human health based upon current breakthrough in multi-omics era. By being part of it, you will enjoy the most up-to-date research frontiers, disruptive technologies from whole spectrum of related innovations, multi-omics integration, single cell OMICS skills to spatial OMICS, and AI-based OMICS along with the wide applications of Multi-omics technologies in the fast growing life industries. We believe such reunion will ignite the sparks off new collaboration opportunities.
We will be proud to present you by designs to create an unforgettable, magnet world-class OMICS-Week in the charming city, Sapporo, which is considered to be the most romantic city in the snow-white season of Japan. The City is so colorful and beautiful during the night, from ice sculpture, delicious Japanese foods, hot spring SPA, cultural streets, creek under snow, glimpse of far mountains, windy forest which all together will make you a whole city Never Sleeps. It is also the home of many great novelists including Nobel Prize laureate, Yasunari Kawabata, writer of “Snow Country”.
